SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  600 PM CST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

AT 515 PM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR WAS INDICATING A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM OVER EASTERN PHELPS COUNTY. SHERRIFF OFFICERS
REPORTED DAMAGING WIND GUSTS BLOWING DOWN TREE LIMBS IN ROLLA. THE
STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH AND WILL THROUGH ST JAMES
AROUND 525 PM. RESIDENTS SHOULD SEEK SAFE SHELTER FROM THIS DANGEROUS
STORM.
 
A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA.  REMEMBER
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES
WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING.  REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO
RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS.
