FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  415 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN CENTRAL MISSOURI

IN EAST CENTRAL MISSOURI

AT 1210 AM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR WAS DETECTING A LINE
OF THUNDERSTORMS CONTAINING VERY HEAVY RAINS EXTENDING FROM JUST
SOUTHEAST OF JEFFERSON CITY TO UNION. THESE STORMS CONTINUE TO DEVELOP
JUST SOUTHEAST OF JEFFERSON CITY AND REPEATEDLY MOVE ACROSS CENTRAL
GASCONADE AND WESTERN FRANKLIN COUNTIES. RAINFALL TOTALS MAY APPROACH
THREE INCHES BETWEEN MIDNIGHT AND 2 AM AS THESE STORMS CONTINUE TO MOVE
EASTWARD ACROSS GASCONADE AND FRANKLIN COUNTIES.
 
IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED OR IMMINENT...MOVE QUICKLY TO
HIGHER GROUND. NEVER DRIVE INTO AN AREA WHERE WATER COVERS THE
ROAD...ESPECIALLY LOW-WATER BRIDGES.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODING. IF YOU LIVE NEAR A SMALL STREAM OR OTHER LOW
LYING FLOOD-PRONE AREA...BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND QUICKLY.
