000 TTAA00 KHOU 010215 FFWHOU TXC339-010415- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HOUSTON TX 913 PM CDT WED MAY 31 1995 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN HOUSTON HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1115 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTHEAST TEXAS ...SOUTHEASTERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY RADAR INDICATES THAT STORMS HAVE PRODUCED OVER 5 INCHES OF RAIN DURING THE PAST 3 HOURS OVER AREAS WEST OF NEW CANEY SINCE 6 PM. FM 1314 WAS 5 MILES WEST OF PORTER WAS IN THE AREA OF HEAVY RAIN. THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCING THE VERY HEAVY RAIN HAS SHOWN LITTLE MOVEMENT. BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
