AN URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD WARNING IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 700 AM
EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...

IN SOUTHWEST MICHIGAN

   ...KENT COUNTY

AT 520 AM... STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE DROPPING VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER
MUCH OF KENT COUNTY. A LOCAL WEATHER SPOTTER REPORTED 0.93 INCHES OF
RAIN IN A 15 MINUTE PERIOD IN KENTWOOD ENDING AT 505 AM. ANOTHER
REPORT FROM WALKER IN NORTHWEST GRAND RAPIDS INDICATED 2.14 INCHES
OF RAIN... MOST OF WHICH FELL SINCE 445 AM EDT.

FLOODING OF STREETS... UNDERPASSES AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS CAN BE
EXPECTED IN KENT COUNTY... ESPECIALLY ON CITY STREETS IN AND AROUND
METRO GRAND RAPIDS.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
DANGERS OF FLOODING. IF FLOODING IS OBSERVED... ACT QUICKLY. MOVE
UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AN AREA8 SUBJECT TO
