FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  1000 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN WEST CENTRAL KANSAS
 
   ...NORTHERN TREGO COUNTY
 
AT 730 PM...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A STRONG THUNDERSTORM 3 MILES
NORTHWEST OF WAKEENEY. DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES IN EXCESS OF 5 INCHES OF
RAIN HAVE FALLEN NORTH OF WAKEENEY AND WEST OF HIGHWAY 23 SINCE 530 PM.
THE STORM THAT HAS PRODUCED THE RAIN IS ALMOST STATIONARY...SO ANOTHER 1
TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN IS POSSIBLE THROUGH 9 PM. FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS
AND ROADWAYS IN LOW LYING AREAS IS LIKELY.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE ACROSS WATER-COVERED ROADWAYS. THE
WATER DEPTH AND CURRENT MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.
