TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1015 AM EST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN  SOUTH CAROLINA
 
   ...WESTERN RICHLAND COUNTY
 
AT 948 AM WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED A POSSIBLE TORNADO ALONG THE
LEXINGTON/RICHLAND COUNTY BORDER JUST NORTHEAST OF GASTON. THE STORM WAS
MOVING TOWARD THE NORTH AT 40 MPH AND WAS MOVING TOWARD THE CITY OF
COLUMBIA.
 
IF YOU ARE CAUGHT OUTSIDE...SEEK SHELTER IN A NEARBY REINFORCED
BUILDING.  AS A LAST RESORT...SEEK SHELTER IN A DITCH OR LOW SPOT
AND COVER YOUR HEAD WITH YOUR HANDS.  BE ALERT FOR FLOODING OF
LOW AREAS.  TORNADOES IN THIS AREA ARE HARD TO SEE BECAUSE OF RAIN
...LOW CLOUDS...AND TREES.
 
AMATEUR RADIO AND OTHER SPOTTERS ARE REQUESTED TO MONITOR THIS
STORM AND RELAY REPORTS PROMPTLY TO THE NEAREST NATIONAL
