SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AND SPECIAL MARINE WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL  515 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS......
 
IN  NEW YORK
 
   ...CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY
 
AND ADJACENT WATERS OF THE GREAT LAKES
 
 
AT 410 PM EDT RADA INDICATED A POSSIBLE SEVERE THUNDERSTOM OVER ERIE
PENNSYLVANIA. DAMAGING WINDS MAY ACCOMPANY WITH THIS STORM AS WELL AS
HAIL...FREQUENT LIGHTNING AND VERY HEAVY DOWNPOURS.
 
WATERSPOUTS MAY BE OFF SHORE OVER THE LAKE AND THIS THUNDERSTORM COULD
POSSIBLY PRODUCE A TORNADO.  POWER LINES WERE DOWNED IN ERIE PENNSYLVANIA
THE THUNDERSTORM IS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 45 MPH.
 
A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA.  REMEMBER
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES
WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING.  REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO
RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS.
