THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 530 AM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING NEW YORK
COUNTIES...
   CHAUTUAQUA AND CATTARAUGUS

AT 430 AM WEATHER RADAR INDICATED SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS OVER
CHAUTAUQA AND CATTARAUGUS COUNTIES.  THE STORMS WERE MOVING SOUTHEAST
AT 50 MPH.

THESE STORMS HAVE A HISTORY OF PRODUCING WIND GUSTS IN EXCESS OF
60 MPH.

BE ON THE ALERT FOR THUNDERSTORMS ACCOMPANIED BY FREQUENT LIGHTNING..
STRONG DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIL.  LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN MAY ALSO CAUSE
