SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  645 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS
 
IN  NEW YORK
 
   ...CATTARAUGUS COUNTY...CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY
 
AND ADJACENT WATERS OF THE GREAT LAKES
 
AT 545PM BUFFALO WEATHER RADAR DETECTED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM OVER
CENTRAL CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY NEAR CHAUTAUQUA LAKE. THE STORM WAS RACING
TOWARD THE NORTHEAST AT 50 MILES AN HOUR.
 
A SEVERE WEATHER SPOTTER AND THE CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTED PEA
SIZE HAIL WITH THIS STORM AS IT PASSED THROUGH THE WESTERN END OF THE
COUNTY.
 
THE STORM WILL BE MOVING ACROSS CATTARAUGUS COUNTY WITHIN THE NEXT HOUR.
 
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55
MPH...HAIL...LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.  FOR YOUR
