EFFECTIVE UNTIL 11 AM EST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN WEST MASSACHUSETTS
 
...FRANKLIN COUNTY...WESTERN HAMPDEN COUNTY...WESTERN HAMPSHIRE COUNTY
 
HEAVY RAIN OVER NIGHT HAS CAUSED SMALLER STREAMS TO REACH ABOVE FLOOD
STAGE.  SERVERAL SMALL RIVERS INCLUDING THE WEST BRACH OF THE WEST FIELD
RIVER AT HUNTINGTON... THE NORTH RIVER AT SHATUCKVILLE... AND THE
DEERFIELD RIVER AT WEST DEERFIELD... ROSE TO BETWEEN 1 FOOT AND 1 AND A
HALF FEET ABOVE FLOOD STAGE.  THE HEAVIER RAIN IS OVER BUT STREAMS WILL
REMAIN HIGH THIS MORNING BEFORE SUBSIDING.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY.
VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE AABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO
HIGHER GROUND.
