THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DENVER HAS ISSUED A TORNADO
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 445 PM MDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING
COUNTIES

IN NORTHEASTERN COLORADO
     LOGAN AND WESTERN SEDGWICK

INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS
     CROOK...FLEMING...ILIFF...MARKS BUTTE...PADRONI...PROCTOR
     ...SEDGWICK AND TWIN BUTTES

AT 410 PM MDT WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
THUNDERSTORM WITH A POSSIBLE TORNADO 3 MILES SOUTHEAST OF TWIN
BUTTES ...OR ABOUT 30 MILES NORTHEAST OF STERLING.  

ANOTHER THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED 4 MILES SOUTHEAST OF ILIFF OVER LOGAN
COUNTY WHICH ALSO HAS A POSSIBLE TORNADO ASSOCIATED WITH IT.

THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST ABOUT 15 MPH.

THE THUNDERSTORM NEAR TWIN BUTTES HAS PRODUCED TORNADOES EARLIER THIS
AFTERNOON.  ALSO GOLF BALL SIZE HAIL WAS REPORTED IN PADRONI WITH
QUARTER SIZE HAIL IN ILIFF.

THE SAFEST PLACE TO BE DURING A TORNADO IS IN A BASEMENT.  GET
UNDER A WORKBENCH OR OTHER PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE.  IF NO
BASEMENT IS AVAILABLE...SEEK SHELTER ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF THE
BUILDING IN AN INTERIOR HALLWAY OR ROOM SUCH AS A CLOSET.  USE
BLANKETS OR PILLOWS TO COVER YOUR BODY AND ALWAYS STAY AWAY
FROM WINDOWS.

IF IN MOBILE HOMES OR VEHICLES...EVACUATE THEM AND GET INSIDE A
SUBSTANTIAL SHELTER.  IF NO SHELTER IS AVAILABLE...LIE FLAT IN
THE NEAREST DITCH OR OTHER LOW SPOT AND COVER YOUR HEAD WITH
YOUR HANDS.
