THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BIRMINGHAM HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  200 AM CST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN EAST CENTRAL ALABAMA
 
   ...CLAY COUNTY
 
MOST OF CLAY COUNTY HAS RECEIVED FROM 3 TO 5 INCHES OF RAINFALL THIS
EVENING. THE COUNTY IS THOROUGHLY SOAKED AND SOME ROADS AND BRIDGES
REMAIN CLOSED DUE TO HIGH WATER. ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAIN WAS MOVING
THROUGH CENTRAL ALABAMA AND WILL SPREAD INTO CLAY COUNTY BEFORE
MIDNIGHT.  ANOTHER INCH OR MORE OF RAIN IS POSSIBLE AND THIS WILL
LIKELY CAUSE ADDITIONAL SERIOUS FLASH FLOODING DURING THE NEXT SEVERAL
HOURS.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
