000 TTAA00 KBIS 092331 TORBIS NDC043-100000- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BISMARCK ND 630 PM CDT SUN JUL 9 1995 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BISMARCK HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 700 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA ...SOUTHERN KIDDER COUNTY AT 630 PM CDT WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A POSSIBLE TORNADO NEAR THE TOWN OF STEELE IN CENTRAL KIDDER COUNTY OR ABOUT 40 MILES EAST OF BISMARCK. THE STORM IS MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST AT 20 TO 25 MPH. AT 620 PM GOLFBALL SIZE HAIL WAS REPORTED IN STEELE..AND AT 630 PM REPORTS CAME IN FROM THE JUNCTION OF HIGHWAY 3 AND I-94 THAT HAIL AT LEAST GOLFBALL SIZE WAS BREAKING CAR WINDSHEILDS. PERSONS IN THE TOWNS OF DAWSON AND TAPPEN AS WELL AS STEELE NEED TO TAKE PROTECTIVE COVER NOW. YOUR LIFE MAY DEPEND ON IT. THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM SITUATION. ACT QUICKLY. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO MOVE TO A SHELTER BELOW GROUND IF AVAILABLE. OTHERWISE...GO TO A SMALL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR POSSIBLE. AVOID WINDOWS.
