THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LA CROSSE HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  700 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN WEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN
 
   ...WESTERN JACKSON COUNTY...SOUTHERN TREMPEALEAU COUNTY
 
AT 1142 PM...A RAINFALL OBSERVER AT HIXTON REPORTED THAT MORE
THAN FIVE INCHES RAIN HAD FALLEN SO FAR THIS EVENING. SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS IN WESTERN JACKSON COUNTY WERE REPORTED TO
BE EXCEEDING THERE BANKS.  FLOODING WAS ALSO BEGINNING TO OCCUR
ALONG THE TREMPEALEAU RIVER.
 
THUNDERSTORMS...WITH HEAVY RAIN...WILL CONTINUE ACROSS JACKSON
...TEMPEALEAU...AND BUFFALO COUNTIES THROUGH 200 AM.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED...
ACT QUICKLY AND MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY.
