THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN APALACHICOLA HAS ISSUED A
TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  430 AM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN NORTHWEST FLORIDA
 
   ...FRANKLIN COUNTY...GULF COUNTY
 
AND FOR MARINE INTERESTS ON THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS
 
 
AT 320 AM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED A WATERSPOUT
OVER COASTAL WATERS OF FRANKLIN AND GULF COUNTIES. THE WATERSPOUT
SHOULD MAKE LANDFALL AROUND THE GULF/FRANKLIN BORDER BETWEEN
CAPE SAN BLAS AND APALACHICOLA IN THE NEXT 1/2 HOUR TO ONE HOUR.
 
MOVEMENT WAS TO THE NORTH AT 15 MILES AN HOUR.
 
 
THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM SITUATION.  ACT QUICKLY.  IF YOU ARE
IN THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO MOVE TO A SHELTER BELOW GROUND IF
AVAILABLE.  OTHERWISE...GO TO A SMALL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST
FLOOR POSSIBLE.  AVOID WINDOWS.  ABANDON CARS AND MOBILE HOMES
FOR A REINFORCED BUILDING OR GET INTO A DITCH OR CULVERT.
