THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PHILADELPHIA/MOUNT HOLLY HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AND FLASH FLOOD WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL  345 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTH NEW JERSEY
 
   ...WESTERN BURLINGTON COUNTY
 
AT 250 PM EDT DOPPLER RADAR DETECTED A CLUSTER OF VERY HEAVY
THUNDERSTORMS ALONG THE DELAWARE RIVER. THE STRONGEST THUNDERSTORM WAS
LOCATED ALONG INTERSTATE 95 AND ACROSS THE DELAWARE RIVER TO BURLINGTON
COUNTY NEW JERSEY. THE STORMS WERE MOVING SLOWLY AND CAPABLE OF
PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAINS IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME AND HAIL WITH
BRIEF GUSTY WINDS.
 
 
HEAVY RAINS WITH THIS THUNDERSTORM MAY CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
STREAMS AND UNDERPASSES VERY QUICKLY.  DO NOT DRIVE YOUR CAR INTO
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE RO(ADWAY.  THE WATER MAY BE DEEPER
THAN YOU THINK.  IF CAUGHT IN RISING WATERS...ABANDON YOUR CAR
QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
