FLASH FLOOD WARNING         EFFECTIVE UNTIL  500 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA

TORRENTIAL RAINS FROM THUNDERSTORMS HAVE BEEN TRACKING FROM WEST TO EAST
ACROSS GOODHUE COUNTY EARLY THIS MORNING. THESE HEAVY RAINS HAVE CAUSED
SOME LOCALIZED STREET FLOODING IN THE CITY OF RED WING IN THE SINCE 1 AM 
WITH THE CONTINUATION OF THE HEAVY RAINFALL APPROACHING THE AREA...
EXPECT SMALL STREAMS AND RIVERS TO RISE RAPIDLY.  THIS INCLUDES THE
CANNON RIVER. LOCALLIZED FLOODING IN STREETS AND BASEMENTS IN LIKELY
WITH THESE STORMS FROM CANNON FALLS...TO WELCH...RED WING...AND GOODHUE.
 
HEAVY RAINS CAN FLOOD BASEMENTS...AND STREETS CAN BECOME RIVERS.
MOST FLOODING DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMjOBILES.  DO NOT DRIVE YOUR
VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROAD...THE WATER
MAY BE TOO DEEP TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY.  IF YOUR
BASEMENT BECOMES FLOODED...WATCH OUT FOR COLLAPSING WALLS.
