THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MILWAUKEE/SULLIVAN HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  915 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN CENTRAL WISCONSIN
 
   ...PORTAGE COUNTY
 
AT 813 AM THIS MORNING DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE
THUNDERSTORM MOVING INTO SOUTHWEST PORTIONS OF PORTAGE
COUNTY.   THIS STORM IS PART OF LINE OF STORMS THAT IS
MOVING ACROSS CENTRAL WISCONSIN.  THIS STORM IS 20 MILES
SOUTHEAST OF WISCONSIN RAPIDS AND IS MOVING NORTHEAST
AT 30 MPH TOWARD THE CITIES OF BANCROFT AND ALMOND.
 
QUARTER SIZE HAIL HAS BEEN REPORTED EARLIER WITH THIS LINE
OF STORMS SOUTH OF WISCONSIN RAPIDS.
 
WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A
STRONG BUILDING.  DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS.  DON'T USE TELEPHONES
UNLESS IN AN EMERGENCY UNTIL THE STORM HAS PASSED.
