...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR HAS DETECTED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WHICH MAY ALSO CONTAIN A DEVELOPING
TORNADO OVER BROWARD COUNTY IN THE VICINITY OF FAR
WESTERN MIRAMAR. THIS STORM WILL BE MOVING SOUTH INTO
DADE COUNTY AREAS ALONG AND WEST OF THE PALMETTO
EXPRESSWAY...NEAR MIAMI LAKES...HIALEAH GARDENS AND
ADJACENT NEIGHBORHOODS.
 
BESIDES THE POSSIBILITY OF A TORNADO...PEOPLE IN THE
AREA SHOULD PREPARE FOR DAMAGING STRAIGHT LINE WIND
GUSTS...HAIL...AND LOTS OF LIGHTNING.
 
 
WATCH FOR SIGNS OF DEVELOPING SEVERE STORMS.  HAILSTONES AND
UNUSUALLY LOW SWIRLING >CLOUDS ARE OFTEN SEEN NEAR DEVELOPING
TORNADOES.  STRONG DAMAGING WINDS AND TORNADOES OFTEN PRODUCE
A LOUD ROARING SOUND LIKE A TRAIN.  FREQUENT LIGHTNING OCCURS
NEAR THE MOST SEVERE PART OF THE THUNDERSTORM.
