FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 200 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS
 
   ...SCOTT COUNTY
 
AT 925 PM CDT...THE SCOTT COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTED THAT BIG SANDY CREEK
WAS OUT OF ITS BANKS NORTH OF GLASGOW. THE SHERIFF REPORTED THAT THE
"WINCHESTER/GLASGOW BLACKTOP" ROAD WAS CLOSED.
 
RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN EXTENDING FROM SCOTT COUNTY SOUTHWEST INTO
PIKE COUNTY ILLINOIS AND PIKE COUNTY MISSOURI. THIS RAIN WILL CONTINUE
TO TRACK OVER SCOTT COUNTY FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS LIKELY CAUSING
ADDITIONAL FLASH FLOODING.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
