THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN INDIANAPOLIS HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  345 AM EST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN WEST CENTRAL INDIANA
 
   ...CLAY COUNTY...NORTHERN OWEN COUNTY...SOUTHERN PUTNAM COUNTY
 
AT 1235 AM EST STATE POLICE REPORTED FLOODING AT CLOVERDALE WHICH IS 25
MILES SOUTHWEST OF INDIANAPOLIS. A HOME AND THE CLOVERDALE FIRE
DEPARTMENT WERE FLOODED.
 
RADAR INDICATED 2 TO MORE THAN 4 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN FROM
SOUTHWEST OF BRAZIL TO CLOVERDALE LATE EVENING AND EARLY THIS MORNING.
THE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAINFALL REMAINED OVER THE AREA AT 1230 AM.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
