000 TTAA00 KHTL 062153 TORHTL MIC129-062230- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HOUGHTON LAKE MI 553 PM EDT WED JUL 6 1994 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN HOUGHTON LAKE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 630 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN NORTHEAST MICHIGAN ...EASTERN OGEMAW COUNTY AT 550 PM EDT SKYWARN SPOTTERS REPORTED A FUNNEL CLOUD EXTENDING TO VERY NEAR THE GROUND NEAR BEECHWOOD AND FLYNN ROADS IN OGEMAW COUNTY 1 MILE EAST OF ROSE CITY. THE FUNNEL CLOUD WAS MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST AT ABOUT 20 MPH. PERSONS IN THE FAYETTES CORNER AREA AND EAST TOWARD SCHMITT ROAD SHOULD SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF A TORNADO...THE SAFEST PLACE IS A BASEMENT. GET UNDER A WORKBENCH OR PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE.
