FLASH FLOOD WARNING  EFFECTIVE UNTIL  445 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTHWEST KANSAS
 
   ...SOUTHERN SEWARD COUNTY
 
AT 140 AM CDT...DODGE CITY DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED AN AREA OF PERSISTENT
RAINFALL IN THE VICINITY OF LIBERAL. RADAR RAINFALL ESTIMATES INDICATE 3
INCHES OF RAINFALL MAY HAVE FALLEN 2 MILES EAST OF LIBERAL SINCE 1230
AM. LIBERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT HAS REPORTED THAT SEVERAL STREETS WITHIN
LIBERAL ARE COVERED WITH WATER.
 
THE MAIN AREA OF CONCERN FOR FLOODING WILL BE LOCATIONS EAST OF U.S.
HIGHWAY 83 AND SOUTH OF U.S. HIGHWAY 54 TO HAYNE.  AN ADDITIONAL 2
INCHES OF RAINFALL IS LIKELY TO FALL DURING THE NEXT HOUR OR TWO BEFORE
ENDING.
 
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIXZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING
WHEN WATER BEGINS TO RISE.
