THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 900 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING NEW YORK
COUNTIES... ALLEGANY

AT 800 PM BUFFALO WEATHER RADAR DETECTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS OVER
WESTERN ALLEGANY COUNTY NEAR CUBA. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING EAST
AT 35 MILES AN HOUR AND SHOULD CROSS THE FRIENDSHIP...ANDOVER...BELMONT
ANGELICA AND WELLSVILLE AREAS WITHIN THE HOUR.

BE ON THE ALERT FOR THUNDERSTORMS ACCOMPANIED BY FREQUENT LIGHTNING..
STRONG DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIL.  LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN MAY ALSO CAxUSE
DRAINAGE FLOODING.
