RAINFALLS OF 3 TO OVER 6 INCHES HAVE FALLEN IN AN AREA FROM BOONE
COUNTY...ACROSS MADISON...PIERCE...WESTERN WAYNE AND CEDAR COUNTIES THIS
EVENING. HIGHWAY 14 IS CLOSED ACROSS BOONE COUNTY...MANY COUNTY ROADS
ARE UNDER WATER. WATER IS ACROSS HIGHWAY 121 IN MADISON COUNTY AND
HIGHWAY 20 IN CEDAR COUNTY NEAR BELDEN.
 
TORRENTIAL RAIN CONTINUES TO FALL ACROSS THIS AREA AND WILL FOR THE NEXT
SEVERAL HOURS.  THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS FLOOD SITUATION AND ANYONE IN A
FLOOD PRONE AREA IN THESE COUNTIES SHOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION TO
PROTECT LIFE.

MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT.  MOST FLASH FLOOD
DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...
DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATERj COVERS THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY TO
CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL ONE...ON FOOT.
