...FLASH FLOODING WARNING FOR SOUTHWEST WAYNE COUNTY AND SOUTHEAST
JONES COUNTY UNTIL 11 PM CDT...
 
AT 755 PM CDT...RADAR INDICATED A PRESISTENT BAND OF THUNDERSTORMS
FROM WAYNESBORO SOUTHWEST INTO THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF JONES COUNTY.
 
LITTLE MOVEMENT OR CHANGE IN INTENSITY HAS OCCURRED DURING THE PAST
SEVERAL HOURS.
 
A COUNTY SUPERVISOR THROUGH THE WAYNE COUTNY SHERFFS OFFICE HAS
REPORTED SOME ROADWAYS WASHED OUT IN SOUTHWEST WAYNE COUNTY.  OVER
5 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN DURING THE LAST 4 HOURS AND MORE IS
LIKELY UNTIL DIMINISHING TOWARD MIDNIGHT.
 
PERSONS IN OR CLOSE THE THIS AREA SHOULD STAY TUNED FOR LATER
STATEMENTS OR WARNINGS.
 
 
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKhLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
