HEAVY RAIN CONTINUED TO FALL ON THE HEADWATERS OF SMALL STREAMS IN
THE SIERRA FOOTHILLS ABOVE THE SACRAMENTO VALLEY DURING THE DAY.
2 INCHES OF RAIN FELL DURING THE DAY IN PARADISE WITH 2 TO 3 INCHES
AROUND MAGALIA. FLOODING OF SMALL STREAMS CONTINUES IN SOUTHERN BUTTE
COUNTY WITH FLOODING OF HOMES REPORTED EARLIER IN THE DAY AROUND THE
TOWNS OF HONCUT AND PALERMO. NUMEROUS REPORTS OF STREET FLOODING HAVE
BEEN REPORTED FROM THE REMAINDER OF BUTTE COUNTY AND IN FAR EASTERN
GLENN COUNTY ALONG THE SACRAMENTO RIVER.

MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN CONTINUES TO FALL IN THE FOOTHILLS AND IN THE
NORTHERN SIERRA NEVADA BELOW ABOUT 5000 FEET. ANOTHER WAVE IS POISED
TO MOVE INTO THE NORTH STATE TONIGHT WITH ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAIN
POSSIBLE. THE SNOW LEVEL IS FORECAST TO FALL DURING THE NIGHT IN THE
SIERRAS TO AROUND 4000 FEET.

PERSONS LIVING NEAR STREAMS DRAINING FROM THE FOOTHILLS IN BUTTE
COUNTY ARE URGED TO STAY IN TOUCH WITH THE LATEST WEATHER FORECASTS
AND FLOOD STATEMENTS TONIGHT.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
