TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  615 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN WEST CENTRAL KANSAS
 
   ...NORTHERN NESS COUNTY
 
AT 525 PM CDT...DOPPER WEATHER RADAR INDICATED A TORNADO 6 MILES
SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF UTICA KANSAS OR 14 MILES NORTHWEST OF NESS CITY
KANSAS. THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM THAT WAS PRODUCING THIS TORNADO WAS
MOVING VERY SLOWLY TO THE NORTHEAST. IN ADDITION TO PRODUCING
TORNADOES...THIS THUNDERSTORM WILL ALSO BRING LARGE HAIL...DAMAGING
WINDS...VERY HEAVY RAIN...AND FREQUENT DANGEROUS LIGHTNING STRIKES.
 
IF YOU LIVE IN THE UTICA OR ARNOLD KANSAS AREAS...SEEK SHELTER INDOORS
IN A BASEMENT OR INTERIOR ROOM IMMEDIATELY.
 
IF YOU ARE CAUGHT IN THE PATH OF A TORNADO...LEAVE THE CAR AND GO
TO A STRONG BUILDING. DO NOT USE YOUR CAR TO TRY TO OUTRUN A
TORNADO.  CARS ARE EASILY TOSSED AROUND BY TORNADO WINDS. IF NO
STRUCTURE IS NEARBY...SEEK SHELTER IN A DITCH OR LOW SPOT.
