THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL
12 NOON EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING NEW YORK COUNTIES...CHAUTAUQUA
AND CATTARAUGUS.

AT 835 AM PERSISTENT THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY DOWNPOURS HAVE
PERSISTED ACROSS CHAUTAUQUA AND PART OF CATTARAUGUS COUNTIES.

WESTFIELD IN CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY HAS REPORTED OVER 2 AND A HALF INCHES
SINCE EARLY THIS MORNING.

URBAN FLOODING AND FLOODING IN POOR DRAINAGE AREAS...UNDERPASSES
CULVERTS ARE PROBABLE.

SOME SMALL STREAMS MAY ALSO RISE RAPIDLY.

THE THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO END LATERL THIS MORNING BUT ANOTHER
THUNDERSTORM MAY OCCUR AGAIN THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
