THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 530 PM MDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES

   IN THE SOUTHEAST PART OF COLORADO
      NORTHEAST HUERFANO...SOUTHERN PUEBLO

THIS WARNING INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING TOWNS AND CITIES...COLORADO
CITY AND CEDARWOOD. ALSO MOTORISTS ALONG I-25 SOUTH OF PUEBLO.

AT 434 PM MDT RADAR INDICATED A POSSIBLE TORNADO FORMING 10
MILES SOUTHEAST OF COLORADO CITY ALONG THE HUERFANO/PUEBLO COUNTY
LINE. THE ASSOCIATED THUNDERSTORM IS MOVING SLOWLY EAST AT 15 MPH.

IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF A TORNADO...THE SAFEST PLACE TO BE IS IN
A BASEMENT.  GET UNDER A WORKBENCH OR PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE.
IF NO BASEMENT IS AVAILABLE...FIND SHELTER IN AN INTERIOR ROOM
SUCH AS A CLOSET ON THE LOWEST FLOOR.  USE BLANKETS...PILLOWS...
OR CUSHIONS TO COVER YOUR BODY.  AVOID WINDOWS.
