SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  815 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN SOUTH NEW JERSEY
 
   ...ATLANTIC COUNTY...CAPE MAY COUNTY...CUMBERLAND COUNTY
 
AND FOR THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS
 
 
AT 7 PM ATLANTIC CITY RADAR SHOWED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS
MOVING ACROSS THE DELAWARE BAY INTO SOUTHWESTERN NEW JERSEY. THESE
THUNDERSTORMS HAVE A HISTORY OF PRODUCING STRONG GUSTY
WINDS...HAIL...AND POSSIBLE TORNADOS. THE THUNDERSTORMS ARE MOVING TO
THE NORTHEAST AT 35 TO 40 MILES AN HOUR.
 
 
WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A
STRONG BUILDING.  DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS.  DON'T USE TELEPHONES
OR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES UNLESS IN AN EMERGENCY UNTIL THE STORM
HAS PASSED.  MOTORISTS SHOULD NOT DRIVE INTO LOW WATER CROSSINGS.
 
A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA.  REMEMBER
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES

RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS.
