THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PHILADELPHIA HAS ISSUED A
FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  815 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN WEST CENTRAL NEW JERSEY
 
   ...MERCER COUNTY
 
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLOOD WARNING FOR THE
ASSUNPINK RIVER IN MERCER COUNTY.
 
AT 6 PM THE ASSUNPINK RIVER WAS 6.40 FT AND RISING TO NEAR BANKFULL
OF 7 FT AS HEAVIER RAINS CONTINUE TO MOVE FROM SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY
INTO MERCER COUNTY.
 
AT 6 PM RADAR SHOWED SEVERAL SMALL LINES OF HEAVY SHOWERS EXTENDING FROM
MILLVILLE IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY NORTH THROUGH CAMDEN AND INTO
MERCER COUNTY. THE RAIN WILL CONTINUE FOR AT LEAST ANOTHER HOUR BRINGING
THE ASSUNPINK RIVER UP TO 7 TO 7 AND ONE HALF FEET.
 
PERSONS ALONG THE ASSUNPINK AND SURROUNDING AREAS SHOULD NOT ATTEMPT TO
DRIVE THROUGH FLOODEbD ROADS OR SMALL STREAMS BECAUSE THE DEPTH OF THE
WATER CAN BE DECEPTIVE.
