SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING 
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OMAHA NE
1209 AM CDT TUE JUN 16 1992

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 115 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTY

   IN THE EAST CENTRAL PART OF NEBRASKA
      BURT

AT 1205 AM CDT A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS INDICATED BY RADAR
OVER CENTRAL BURT COUNTY ABOUT 5 MILES NORTH OF TEKAMAH.  THIS
IS ABOUT 35 MILES NORTHWEST OF OMAHA.  THE STORM APPEARED TO
HAVE LARGE HAIL WITH IT.  IT WAS MOVING SLOWLY NORTHEAST AT
5 TO 10 MILES AN HOUR.

A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA...SO REMEMBER
THESE STORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE
OR NO ADVANCE WARNING.  LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS OR WARNINGS.

PERSONS DRIVING IN THE WARNED AREA SHOULD WATCH OUT FOR WATER
OVER ROADS...IN UNDERPASSES AND FLOODING NEAR SMALL STREAMS.
