THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORTH PLATTE HAS ISSUED A
TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  715 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN CENTRAL NEBRASKA
 
   ...SOUTHERN CUSTER COUNTY
 
AT 643 PM CDT...RADAR INDICATED A POSSIBLE TORNADO 40 MILES EAST OF
NORTH PLATTE NEAR OCONTO. THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCING THE
POSSIBLE TORNADO WAS MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 20 MILES AN HOUR. AT 641 PM
CDT FUNNEL CLOUDS WERE REPORTED 4 MILES EAST OF OCONTO. PERSONS IN
OCONTO AND MASON CITY SHOULD SEEK REINFORCE SHELTER IMMEDIATELY.
 
THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM SITUATION.  ACT QUICKLY.  IF YOU ARE
IN THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO MOVE TO A SHELTER BELOW GROUND IF
AVAILABLE.  OTHERWISE...GO TO A SMALL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST
FLOOR POSSIBLE.  AVOID WINDOWS.  ABANDON CARS AND MOBILE HOMES
FOR A REINFORCED &BUILDING OR GET INTO A DITCH OR CULVERT.
