THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 545 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES

   IN THE CENTRAL PART OF ILLINOIS
      EXTREME EASTERN SHELBY...

   IN THE EAST CENTRAL PART OF ILLINOIS
      CUMBERLAND...

AT 5 10 PM CDT...A FUNNEL CLOUD WAS REPORTED BY A SHELBY COUNTY
DEPUTY SHERIFF 10 MILES NORTH OF EFFINGHAM ILLINOIS JUST WEST OF
THE COMMUNITY OF SIGEL IN THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF SHELBY COUNTY.

RADAR INDICATED A STRONG THUNDERSTORM AT THIS LOCATION.  THE
FUNNEL CLOUD AND PARENT THUNDERSTORM WERE MOVING EAST NORTHEAST
AT 30 MPH.

TOWNS IN AND NEAR THE PATH OF THE FUNNEL CLOUD ARE SIGEL...TOLEDO
...WOODBURY...JEWETT AND GREENUP.

FUNNEL CLOUDS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE
OR NO ADVANCE WARNING...SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT AND BE PREPARED TO MOVE
TO A PLACE OF SAFETY.
