THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AKRON HAS ISSUED AN URBAN AND
SMALL STREAM FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 900 AM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY......

IN SOUTHEAST OHIO

   ...WASHINGTON COUNTY

AT 545 AM EDT WEATHER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY
RAIN MOVING THROUGH WASHINGTON COUNTY. THESE THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDED
WEST INTO CENTRAL OHIO AND WERE MOVING EAST AT 30 MPH.

THE WASHINGTON COUNTY SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT REPORTED VERY HEAVY RAIN
IN THE MARIETTA AREA AT 545 AM. THIS HEAVY RAIN WILL LIKELY CONTINUE
OVER WASHINGTON COUNTY UNTIL 730 AM CAUSING SMALLER STREAMS
TO OVERFLOW THEIR BANKS AND FLOOD LOW LYING AREAS

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
