THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL
400 PM EST FOR PEOPLE LIVING ALONG BUFFALO CREEK...

AN ICE JAM FORMED ON THE BUFFALO CREEK OVERNIGHT...AND WATER LEVELS HAVE
RISEN TO JUST ABOVE FLOOD STAGE. AT 845AM THE CREEK STAGE WAS 7.68.
FLOOD STAGE IS 7 FEET.

IF YOU LIVE ALONG THE BUFFALO CREEK...ESPECIALLY IN AN AREA PRONE TO
ICE JAM FLOODING...YOU SHOULD TAKE ACTION NOW TO PROTECT LIFE AND
PROPERTY.

WEST SENECA POLICE ARE ON THEIR WAY TO SURVEY THE AREA THIS MORNING...
AND A STATEMENT WILL BE ISSUED LATER THIS MORNING WITH MORE DETAILS.
