TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 930 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...

IN CENTRAL RHODE ISLAND

   ...KENT COUNTY

AND ADJACENT WATERS OF NARRAGANSETT BAY.

IN SOUTH RHODE ISLAND

   ...WASHINGTON COUNTY

AND ADJACENT WATERS OF NARRAGANSETT BAY.
AND THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS OF THE RHODE ISLAND SOUTH COAST.

AT 825 PM EDT IS WAS REPORTED THAT A TORNADO JUST CROSSED ROUTE 102
IN COVENTRY
MOVING EAST AT ABOUT 6 MPH. IT WAS MOVING EAST TOWARD NOOSE NECK AND
EAST GREENWICH. PEOPLE IN THIS AREA SHOULD TAKE COVER IMMEDIATELY.

THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM SITUATION.  ACT QUICKLY.  IF YOU ARE
IN THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO MOVE TO A SHELTER BELOW GROUND IF
AVAILABLE.  OTHERWISE...GO TO A SMALL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST
FLOOR POSSIBLE.  AVOID WINDOWS.  ABANDON CARS AND MOBILE HOMES
FOR A REINFORCED BUILDING OR GET INTO A DITCH OR CULVERT.

IF YOU ARE CAUGHT OUTSIDE...SEEK SHELTER IN A NEARBY REINFORCED
BUILDING.  AS A LAST RESORT...SEEK SHELTER IN A CULVERT...DITCH
OR LOW SPOT AND COVER YOUR HEAD WITH YOUR HANDS.

DO NOT USE YOUR CAR TO TRY TO OUTRUN A TORNADO.  CARS ARE EASILY
TOSSED AROUND BY TORNADO WINDS.  IF YOU ARE CAUGHT IN THE PATH OF
A TORNADO...LEAVE THE CAR AND GO TO A STRONG BUILDxING.  IF NO
STRUCTURE IS NEARBY...SEEK SHELTER IN A DITCH OR LOW SPOT.
