000 TTAA00 KABQ 240353 FFWABQ NMC017-023-240645- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ALBUQUERQUE NM 953 PM MDT SUN AUG 23 1992 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBUQUERQUE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1245 AM MDT FOR PEOPLE... IN SOUTHWEST NEW MEXICO ...GRANT COUNTY...HIDALGO COUNTY AT 940 PM MDT RADAR INDICATED STRONG THUNDERSTORMS ABOUT 10 MILES SOUTH OF SILVER CITY AND OVER HIDALGO COUNTY. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE NORTH AT 15 MPH. AT 900 PM AN OBSERVER IN ANIMAS REPORTED ABOUT SIX-TENTH OF AN INCH OF RAIN SINCE 2 PM. AT 945 PM AN OBSERVER IN SILVER CITY REPORTED 0.75 INCH OF RAIN SINCE 5 PM WITH HEAVY RAIN CONTINUING. HEA`VY RAINS FLOOD ROADS QUICKLY SO DON'T DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD.
