000 TTAA00 KACY 062300 SVRACY NJC001-005-011-070000- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ATLANTIC CITY NJ 659 PM EDT MON MAY 6 1991 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ATLANTIC CITY HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 800 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN SOUTH NEW JERSEY ...ATLANTIC COUNTY...BURLINGTON COUNTY...CUMBERLAND COUNTY AND FOR THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS AT 650 PM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS MOVING INTO SOUTHWESTERN NEW JERSEY. THESE THUNDERSTORMS HAVE A HISTORY OF PRODUCING 1/2 INCH DIAMETER HAIL AND WIND GUSTS TO 75 MILES AN HOUR. THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING EAST AT 50 MILES AN HOUR. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING. REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS. WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A STRONG BUILDING. DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS.
