THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ATLANTIC CITY HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1100 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTH NEW JERSEY
 
   ...ATLANTIC COUNTY
 
AND FOR THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS
 
 
AT 955 PM EDT WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
BETWEEN AVALON AND SEA ISLE CITY IN CAPE MAY COUNTY. THIS THUNDERSTORM
HAS PRODUCED WIND GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH AND MARBLE SIZED HAIL. THE
THUNDERSTORM IS EXPECTED TO CROSS THE SHORE POINTS OF OCEAN
CITY...MARGATE AND ATLANTIC CITY AS WELL AS SURROUNDING LOCATIONS.
 
MOVEMENT WAS NORTH AT 25 MILES AN HOUR
 
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55
MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
