THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ATLANTA  HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1045 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN NORTHWEST GEORGIA
 
   ...NORTHERN FULTON COUNTY
 
PEACHTREE CREEK HAS CONTINUED A SHARP RISE FROM RAINS EARLIER THIS
EVENING. AT 830 PM THE CREEK AT NORTHSIDE DRIVE WAS 17.4 FEET AND
RISING. FLOOD STAGE IS 17 FEET. PEACHTREE CREEK IS EXPECTED TO RISE
FOR ANOTHER HOUR OR TWO AND CREST BETWEEN 18 AND 19 FEET. THIS WILL
CAUSE WATER TO OVERFLOW WOODWARD WAY AND FLOOD YARDS OF HOMES ON
WOODWARD WAY...HANOVER WEST DRIVE...AND WEST NANCY CREEK ROAD.
 
 
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN A]REAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
