THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BIRMINGHAM HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  100 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN NORTH ALABAMA
 
   ...WALKER COUNTY
 
 
HEAVY RAIN HAS FALLEN OVER WALKER COUNTY DURING THE MORNING...THE GROUND
IS SATURATED AND WATER WAS REPORTED TO BE RISING INTO SOME HOMES IN THE
JASPER AREA. IN ADDITION...AT 950 AM OTHER THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY
HEAVY RAIN WERE MOVING INTO WALKER COUNTY FROM THE NORTHWEST. THIS
ADDITONAL RAINFALL MAY CAUSE MORE SERIOUS FLASH FLOODING DURING THE
NEXT SEVERAL HOURS.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
