000 TTAA00 KFSM 220044 TORFSM ARC087-143-220130- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FORT SMITH AR 743 PM CDT THU JUN 21 1990 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN FORT SMITH HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 830 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN NORTHWEST ARKANSAS ...MADISON COUNTY...EASTERN WASHINGTON COUNTY AT 743 PM WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED A POSSIBLE TORNADO JUST SOUTHE OF ELKINS. SEVERAL REPORTS OF DAMAGE AND TORNADO SIGHTINGS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED OVER THE PAST 30 MINUTES WITH THIS STORM. THE STORM IS MOVING EAST AT 20 MPH. PEOPLE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM SHOULD SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY. IF YOU LIVE IN A HOME OR APARTMENT...SpEEK SHELTER IN THE INNERMOST PORTION OF THE BUILDING ON THE LOWEST FLOOR. GET TO A BASEMENT IF ONE IS AVAILABLE. AVOID WINDOWS AND PROTECT YOUR BODY FROM FLYING DEBRIS WITH CUSHIONS...BLANKETS...OR PILLOWS.
