THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 830 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES

   IN THE NORTH CENTRAL PART OF KANSAS
      EASTERN SMITH...WESTERN JEWELL

AT 753 PM CDT A TORNADO WAS  SPOTTED BY A SPOTTER 35 MILES
NORTHEAST OF PHILLIPSBURG OR 8 MILES NORTH OF BELLAIRE MOVING
NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH.  THIS WILL BE NEAR THE BURR OAK AREA
BY 8PM CDT.

PEOPLE IN THE WARNED AREA SHOULD FIND SHELTER IMMEDIATELY.
BASEMENTS OFFER THE BEST PROTECTION.  SMALL ROOMS NEAR THE
CENTER OF 2HOMES AND BUILDINGS ON THE LOWEST FLOOR ARE ALSO FAIRLY
SAFE.  MOBILE HOMES AND VEHICLES OFFER NO SHELTER...SO LEAVE THEM.
EVEN A DITCH OR LOW PLACE IS SAFER THAN A MOBILE HOME OR CAR.
