IN EAST CENTRAL UTAH ...CARBON COUNTY...NORTHERN EMERY COUNTY...GRAND COUNTY IN NORTHEAST UTAH ...SOUTHERN UINTAH COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST UTAH ...NORTHERN SAN JUAN COUNTY HEAVY RAINFALL IS CONTINUING TO FALL FROM A BAND OF THUNDERSTORMS MOVING NORTHWARD THROUGH EASTERN UTAH. A REPORT OF 1.00 INCH OF RAIN IN LESS THAN 10 MINUTES OCCURRED IN HOLE-IN-THE-ROCK ABOUT 4 PM. HIGHWAY PATROL OFFICERS REPORT SOME FLOODING ALONG SR191 BETWEEN MOAB AND I-70. ALSO RADAR IS INDICATING A VERY STRONG THUNDERSHOWER 20 MILES SOUTHEAST OF PRICE. THUS THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING AREA HAS BEEN INCREASED TO INCLUDED NORTHERN EMERY COUNTY.. CARBON COUNTY.. NORTHERN GRAND COUNTY.. AND SOUTHERN UINTAH COUNTY. THESE THUNDERSHOWERS ARE MOVING NORTH TO NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH AND CAN BE EXPECTED TO PRODUCE HEAVY RAIN FOR THE NEXT FEW OF HOURS. A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT. MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
