THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ATLANTIC CITY HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING AND
SPECIAL MARINE WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 915 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
IN SOUTH NEW JERSEY
...ATLANTIC...CAPE MAY...OCEAN
AND ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS.
AT 800 PM EDT WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS LOCATED NEAR ASBURY PARK NEW JERSEY SOUTHWEST THROUGH
MILLVILLE NEW JERSEY. THIS LINE HAS HAD A HISTORY OF PRODUCING LOCALLY
HEAVY DOWNPOURS AND WIND GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 50 MPH.
A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. REMEMBER
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES
