THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ATLANTIC CITY HAS ISSUED AN
URBAN FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL NOON EDT FOR PEOPLE IN
THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...

IN SOUTH NEW JERSEY
          ...ATLANTIC...BURLINGTON

AT 950 THIS MORNING...RADAR WAS OBSERVING THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING
TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS JUST TO THE NORTH OF HAMMONTON IN WESTERN
ATLANTIC COUNTY. REPORTS RECEIVED EARLIER FROM HAMMONTON SHOW THEY
HAVE ALREADY GOTTEN 3 1/2 INCHES OF RAIN SINE 730 THIS MORNING. SOME

STREETS HAVE ALREADY BEEN CLOSED DUE TO FLOODING. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL
AMOUNTS OF AROUND 2 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE BY NOON THIS AFTERNOON.

THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL IS MOVING NORTH INTO CENTRAL BURLINGTON COUNTY
THIS SHOULD ALSO CAUSE URBAN FLOODING IN PORTIONS OF THAT COUNTY.


DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
