FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT
FOR THE FOLLOWING OKLAHOMA LOCATIONS...
 
IN NORTHWEST OKLAHOMA
 
   ...ROGER MILLS COUNTY
 
AT 855 PM RADAR INDICATED STRONG THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUING ACROSS
WESTERN AND SOUTHERN ROGERS MILLS COUNTY DRIFTING SLOWLY EASTWARD.
RAIN GAUGE REPORTS AROUND 9 INCHES HAVE BEEN RECEIVED FROM THE
CHEYENNE AREA WITH RADAR ESTIMATES NEAR 10 INCHES.
 
PERSONS IN ROGER MILLS COUNTY SHOULD BE ALERT FOR RISING WATER.
EXTENSIVE AND SERIOUS FLOODING...INCLUDING SOME EVACUATIONS...HAVE
BEEN RECEIVED FROM CHEYENNE THIS EVENING. PERSONS IN LOW-LYING AREAS
SHOULD EVACUATE TO HIGHER GROUND. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS AREAS OF
FLOWING WATER.
 
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
