THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 130 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES

   IN THE EAST CENTRAL PART OF NEBRASKA
      DOUGLAS...INCLUDING THE OMAHA METROPOLITAN AREA...

   IN THE WEST CENTRAL PART OF IOWA
      WESTERN POTTAWATTAMIE...INCLUDING THE CITY OF COUNCIL 
      BLUFFS...

...THIS WARNING INCLUDES THE OMAHA/COUNCIL BLUFFS METROPOLITAN
   AREA...

AT 1230 AM CDT A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS INDICATED BY RADAR
NEAR RALSTON...ABOUT 11 MILES SOUTH OF OMAHA.  THE STORM WILL
MOVE NORTHEAST 20 MILES AN HOUR THROUGH DOWNTOWN OMAHA.
THIS STORM IS LIKELY TO CONTAIN LARGE HAIL.

PEOPLE IN THE WARNED AREA SHOULD GET INTO A REINFORCED SHELTER AND
PREPARE FOR DAMAGING WINDS...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN...AND
DANGEROUS LIGHTNING.

THIS SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAN PRODUCE HAIL GREATER THAN 3/4 INCH IN
DIAMETER AND DESTRUCTIVE WINDS.  STAY INDOORS AND AWAY FROM AREAS
WITH LOOSE ITEMS THAT COULD BECOME DANGEROUS FLYING DEBRIS.
